Global nutrition company Herbalife has announced renewal of its brand endorsement partnership with Indian badminton ace, Saina Nehwal.
The badminton champ has been a sponsored sportsperson for Herbalife since 2009. The firm had started sponsoring Saina in 2009 and, since then, she has been part of its mission to spread awareness on healthy living.
Herbalife, which has in its portfolio brands such as Formula 1 nutritional shake and Afresh energy drinks, sells its products through a network of independent distributors in 79 countries.
Mr Ajay Khanna, Country Head, Herbalife India, said the company will provide Saina all the support she requires during her preparations for the London Olympics scheduled for July 2012.

The company is also associated with cricketer Virat Kohli and boxing champion M.C. Mary Kom. Internationally, ‘Herbalife’ sponsors football star Lionel Messi and football clubs LA Galaxy and FC Barcelona.
Saina, who has been using Herbalife products, told reporters that she was grateful to the firm for continuing the support. ‘I have been using ‘Herbalife’ for a long time now, with the products having always helped me feel energetic and on the go,’ said the world No.4.
